Where Does Laura Ingraham Live?

Conservative television host, attorney, and author Laura Ingraham is one of the most recognizable faces on the Fox News Channel. She has gained quite a reputation for being very outspoken and opinionated and has made headlines for some of her claims and statements, but where does Laura Ingraham live?

Laura Ingraham and her three adopted children currently reside in McLean, Virginia, a major suburb of Washington, D.C. Ingraham is originally from Glastonbury, Connecticut, and used to work for a law firm in New York City, but has lived and worked in the Washington metropolitan area for many years.

Laura Ingraham’s Background

Laura Ingraham was born in Glastonbury, an affluent suburb of Hartford, Connecticut, in June 1963. Despite her wealthy surroundings, Ingraham’s parents were members of the working class, with her mother working as a waitress and her father running his own car wash.

Ingraham has three brothers, and as a child, was instilled with a strong sense of patriotism by her mother and father. While she was not political in her younger years, Ingraham’s parents kept the American flag flying all year.

Ingraham graduated from Glastonbury High School in 1981 and was very athletic during her time there. Her first foray into the world of journalism and reporting came in the mid-1980s.

While attending Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, she became the very first female editor of a local independent newspaper, The Dartmouth Review. She graduated from Dartmouth with her Bachelor of Arts in 1985.

From Dartmouth, Ingraham proceeded to work under the administration of President Ronald Reagan, where she was employed as a speechwriter. However, she knew that working in that sort of environment long-term was not for her.

In 1991, Ingraham graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law with her Doctor of Jurisprudence. Even in her early 20’s, Ingraham was already outspoken about her political views, with a license plate that read “FARRGHT”.

From 1993 until 1996, Ingraham worked for Skadden, an international law firm headquartered in New York City. She also worked as a clerk for Ralph Winter, a federal judge, and Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.

However, Ingraham would eventually venture outside of working in law to begin an entirely new chapter. Starting in 1996, she made appearances on MSNBC and eventually got her own show, Watch It.

Though Watch It was canceled after just under a year and a half, this did not deter the ambitious Ingraham. She published her first book, The Hillary Trap: Looking for Power in All the Wrong Places, in 2000.

In 2001, Ingraham debuted her highly successful radio program, The Laura Ingraham Show. This program would serve as a foundation for much of her later career.

Over a decade later, Ingraham began her television show, The Ingraham Angle, in October 2017 on the Fox News Channel. Like her radio program, it has proven to be a great success.

In February 2020, Ingraham’s show achieved the highest ratings of any cable news program hosted by a woman. She has demonstrated strong support for former President Donald Trump, as can be seen in this video from her show:

While Ingraham has not become famous as an attorney, she has nevertheless put her law degrees to good use by embarking on a different career.

Laura Ingraham’s Home And Family

Now an established television host and political commentator, Ingraham has settled with her family in McLean, Virginia. She has three adopted children.

Her first child, Maria, was adopted from Guatemala in 2008. She subsequently adopted Dmitri and Nikolai, both from Russia.

They live in a 7,869-square foot house situated on 2.1 acres and surrounded by trees and various shrubbery. The home was constructed in 1960 and last sold in 2014 for $1.6 million, but is presently valued at $3.3 million.

The two-story house has five bedrooms, five and a half bathrooms, and a spacious swimming pool. It also has an expansive outdoor patio and a large driveway capable of accommodating multiple vehicles.

Aside from these major features, Ingraham’s home has many minor features that are prized among homebuyers today. These include a fireplace, many windows to provide substantial natural lighting, and an attached garage.

Unfortunately, no photographs of the house’s interior have been made widely available on the internet. However, an overhead view of the home and its surroundings has been captured.

While Laura Ingraham has been very forthright about her political views, she has understandably chosen to keep her home and family away from the public eye.
