Nottingham Forest to be bolstered by players returning from injury
Luis Enrique believes former Real Madrid forward Marco Asensio can offer a different profile in attack for Paris Saint-Germain.
The Spain international signed on a free transfer in the summer but has missed two months with a foot injury. He did not travel with the squad to face AC Milan in the Champions League on Tuesday night but he has now returned to training. Although he won't travel to Stade de Reims tomorrow.
"Marco Asensio is no longer in the treatment room and he could be back in the squad," he said. "First, he needs to get into good physical condition. He has to train hard with his team-mates and we will see when he is able to play competitive football.
On his position, he added: "If he plays further wide, he can cut in and generate numerical superiority. He can play on the right, with his natural foot, or he can play down the left, or in the middle. He can pick up space between the lines. He has a different profile to our other No 9s, Goncalo Ramos and Randal Kolo Muani."
PSG will also be without defender Danilo Pereira, who has sustained a hamstring injury. He is not expected to return until after the international break, joining goalkeeper Keylor Navas (back) and longer term absentees Presnel Kimpembe (Achilles) and Nuno Mendes (hamstring) on the sidelines.
Reims, who are coached by Will Still, have confounded expectations so far this season and find themselves fourth in the table.
Luis Enrique is expecting a tricky encounter.
"Without doubt, I think they are one of the best teams in 2023 in Ligue 1," he said. "They have a clear idea, they know how to use the ball and make the most of space and how to press.
"We will see tomorrow what their coach has prepared for us. And we will see how we adapt. It will certainly be a tough match for us and we will try to ensure it's difficult for them too. We are not expecting a calm or simple game."
