NBA YoungBoy Comes Clean About Lil Durk Beef: 'All Entertainment'

Publish date: 2024-06-14

NBA YoungBoy has admitted that his beef with Lil Durk is all for “entertainment” after Gillie Da Kid said he wanted the two to squash their feud.

Gillie was speaking on his Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast when he said he wanted YoungBoy and Durk to headline next year’s Gillie Fest in his hometown of Philadelphia.

“If both of them could hit the stage in the same night, it could show the young’uns that that shit ain’t that serious,” the rapper-turned-podcaster said. “The beef ain’t that serious. None of this drama is that serious.”

In a video he captioned, “It ain’t what you think OG all this shit entertainment”, YoungBoy appeared to accept Gillie’s request while acknowledging he is still under house arrest.

“Get them to let me out this house and I hit that stage for ya. How you want me to come? Every chain on or just one chain?” he said.

The Baton Rouge rap star also revealed that he and Lil Durk, who have been beefing on and off since 2021, talk every “two or three nights” about music.

Durk later responded to YoungBoy, although it appears their issues are not yet settled as the Chicago rapper accused his rival of sending him a false home address.

“You lied bout sending the address 7x when I asked I’m finna grab my coat 1 more time send the address,” he wrote on his Instagram Stories.

YoungBoy later clarified the situation by saying in a video that his legal issues were what was stopping Durk from visiting his home.

“Bro, my [probation officer] gotta approve you, it don’t work like that. You gon’ send my ass to jail,” he said, while captioning the clip: “I love tf out you help me bih @lildurk.”

The friction between the pair began in late 2021 when Lil Durk’s close friend and labelmate King Von was murdered during an altercation with Quando Rondo — an affiliate of NBA YoungBoy — and his crew.

They also exchanged shots earlier this year when their albums were planned to be released on the same day.

YoungBoy aimed a series of posts on X, formerly Twitter, at Durk in which he said: “@lildurk you a bitch & yo nasty ass hoe and it’s shown,” and “@lildurk lol you ever realized you only get a buzz when one of your friends die. Think about it scary bum bitch you know I ain’t lying ha ha #fact.”

Durk later moved his album release date back and had more than double the amount of first-week sales than YoungBoy’s project.
