Lionel Messi effect causes Inter Miami away day tickets to sell out in just EIGHT minutes with cheap
Lionel Messi's impact on Inter Miami ticket sales shows no sign of stopping, with the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner causing yet another sell out.
The Major League Soccer side are travelling to face Philadelphia Union in the Leagues Cup semi-final on Wednesday and there won't be a spare seat in the away end.
Now, they're set to have a sizeable following joining them, with David Beckham's outfit's tickets for the clash selling out in just eight minutes thanks to the Messi effect.
A statement from the Union after the sell out read: "Tuesday's match at Subaru Park is officially sold out of seats. A limited number of standing-room-only tickets remain."
According to SeatGeek, the lowest priced tickets for the chance to see Messi cost as much as $422 (around £333).
That's a huge increase on the Union's ticket price for their next home game against FA Dallas of $15 (£11).

Messi's arrival at Inter Miami has seen fans spending an astronomical amount of money to see him.
Resales were going for as much as $110,000 (£86,000) for the World Cup winner's debut against Cruz Azul in July.
He's also attracted a range of A-listers to come and watch, including Kim Kardashian and her children, LeBron James and Serena Williams.
Since signing this summer, Messi has scored eight times in five Leagues Cup appearances, most recently scoring against Charlotte in their 4-0 quarter-final win.
