Chad Lowe’s career began in the 1980s, when he appeared in television films. He appeared with Charlie Sheen on the CBS drama Silence of the Heart in 1984 and in the 1988 made-for TV film April Morning, in which he co-starred with Tommy Lee Jones. Lowe played Spencer’s title character, but left the show after only six episodes. He began to star in the drama Life Goes On in 1991.
