Fashion Designer and Byron Baes big plans for Bangalow purchase
Fashion designer Jessica Johansen-Bell, the Byron Baes Netflix series cast member, has bought her first property, a building block in the popular celebrity hinterland town Bangalow.
Johansen-Bell, who got international attention in 2018 when Kylie Jenner wore one of her dress designs, has spent $860,000 on an 800sq m vacant block on the town’s outskirts, not far from the Pacific Highway.

The block last sold at $370,000 in 2016.
The Lismore-born 28-year-old currently calls Coopers Shoot home.
She could proceed with the approved dual occupancy plans as, shortly after settling this month, a construction certificate was issued by the Byron Shire Council.

The approval is for one three-bedroom home, and one four-bedroom. Presumably one as home to Johansen-Bell and her fiance Adam.
Johansen-Bell announced the purchase on her Instagram, posting a video clip next to the sold sign of Trent Stana from @realty. It had been listed last year at $990,000
“Bought my first property” she told her 34,000 followers.
Bangalow has a special place in Johansen-Bell’s life. It’s where she opened her first boutique of her fashion brand Johansen in 2016, a year after the business, which has 146,000 followers, was founded.
Bangalow is home of influencer Ruby Tuesday Matthews.
It's the second home to Bachelor couple Laura Byrne and “Matty J” Johnson, who have just bought a $5.2m semi in North Bondi. The Tamarama influencer Abbie Chatfield bought in 2021 paying $1.45m for a quaint timber cottage.

Bangalow’s median house price is $1.52m, down nearly 20 per cent over the past year, according to realestate.com.au based on 33 sales.
It was August 2020, shortly after the nation was locked down, that its median price passed $1m, then $2m just two years later following the Covid-induced boom the Byron region saw.
No sign of a property purchase from her sister Lauren, who also featured on Byron Baes, which was opposed by the Byron Shire Council, which wrote to Netflix to try to stop the filming.
The 2022 show followed the lives of 14 influencers, who helped each other grow their businesses and social media followings.
