Tommy and her crew responded to a 911 call. They were called to the home of an elderly couple. The Sullivans. It was usually Mr. Sullivan that needed care, but this time it was Mrs. Sullivan who needed help.

She felt pressure under her eye. It was too hard for her to see through it and so Tommy figured out her disposable contact lenses weren’t falling out like they should. They were getting stored behind her eyelid. Tommy cleaned them all out. Twelve in total. She was even going to transport her to the hospital when a second ambulance showed up.

This other ambulance was from a private EMT firm called “Paragon Medics”. Tommy recognized their logo as well as their EMT because he was an old acquaintance. It was Pearce! Pearce transferred over there because he claimed the pay was better.

Only he did seem kind of pushy in making sure the Sullivans took his ambulance over Tommy’s. He did everything he could to convince him to take his ambulance. He even threw in a green smoothie. He also threatened to send Mr. Sullivan to a different hospital if Mrs. Sullivan didn’t agree to let him take her to the hospital.

Mrs. Sullivan took his services. She went with the private EMTs. Tommy felt a sort of way about that and so she looked into it to see if private EMTs companies could do that, but she ended up learning that Austin Paramedics were making a deal with Paragon Medics to use their services. Tommy was completely against the idea.

She tried to complain to her boss about it. She told them that Paragon Medics puts profit before people. She also mentioned how they were greedy little vampires and she ended up saying all of this in front of the representative from Paragon Medics.

Tommy didn’t get in trouble for what she said. She also didn’t get a say in what was happening. The city needed money and Paragon Medics promised to share their profits with the city and so that’s that.

Tommy was annoyed by it that she was complaining even as she went to the fundraiser for cancer at the station. There were a lot of bigwigs there. Owen was supposed to be on his best behavior when he made a comment he shouldn’t have to a bartender. He started talking to her because he said they were normies while everyone else could purchase Milan.

Owen thought he was talking to a simple bartender. He didn’t find out until later that he was talking to Kendra Harrington. The Harringtons were billionaires. They could buy and sell Owen. Owen had a reason to believe that Kendra tried to do just that. She was behind the bar because she didn’t want to wait to get a drink and Owen ended up liking her spunk. Then one thing led to another. They went back to his place for a night of fun. Owen really liked her. He just wasn’t sure about her feelings for him because she left with a lame excuse. And she did leave him a note before she left.

Only it wasn’t a love letter type of note. It was “had fun and we should do this again some time” note. She even threw in a check made out to him in the envelope. Kendra basically treated him like a hooker and Owen was the only one in denial about that. The others had found out about the check. They thought Kendra was treating him like a hooker. They made fun of him for it. Owen spoke up in Kendra’s defense and he claimed she probably left the check for his charity. And he later agreed to meet up with her again.

Before this date could commence though he had a tough one at work. Tommy was so set on defeating Paragon Medics that she rushed over to a scene before they could. She took over and it was a guy who’s waiting for a kidney and he had a line going up his leg that was tied to his insides. And this line got ruptured. He was bleeding everywhere. Tommy tried to handle it on her own and she couldn’t because she didn’t have Paragon Medics’ blood bag supply. She had to hand over the case to Pearce. Which she really hated to do.

Pearce was able to save the patient’s life. He also took a minute to brag to Tommy about it and so everyone found him annoying. Owen also met up with Kendra again. This time they just talked. They didn’t sleep together and the next morning she still paid him. She paid forty grand. She paid him a hundred grand the first time. Mateo said it was “Loyalty Discount”. Everyone was laughing about it. Judd reminded Owen that he could still donate the profits to some great organizations and so a good thing did come out of the encounter. Owen just wasn’t going to take Kendra’s calls anymore.

Owen had moved on when firefighters as well as paramedics were called to a confusing scene. They went to a perfume factory where people were just passing out for no reason. Paragon Medics had gotten there first and so they told Tommy to hand out water to the bystanders while they dealt with the patients. Pearce became annoying. Tommy told him off and he was threatening her with suspension when his ambulance blew up with him inside. The firefighters had to rescue everyone inside. And Tommy saved Pearce’s life.

Pearce had apparently complained about a faulty oxygen value that Paragon Medics had given him. They ignored him because they wanted to save money and so now he’s suing them. Pearce might just put them out of business. And so Tommy no longer has to worry about them squeezing out her crew.

And Owen later found out that Kendra was donating towards charity. Not to him. The second check was because she found out he adopted a dog with cancer and she wanted to help the remaining dogs still undergoing treatment at the shelter. So, once he made it clear he wasn’t a stripper, they had a laugh about it and they made another date.

THE END!
